Sara L. Trower is an Associate General Counsel in the employment practice group focusing on student issues. Prior to joining the office, Sara served two years as Executive Director of University Equity and Civil Rights Compliance and Title IX Coordinator at Ohio University. Prior to that, Sara was Associate General Counsel at the University of Kansas, where she handled a broad portfolio advising university clients on student issues, employment issues, security issues, academic and scholarly misconduct issues, and she defended the University at both the trial and appellate court levels in Kansas, the United States District Court for the District of Kansas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Sara started her career at the Missouri Attorney General’s Office where she practiced in the Litigation Division. Sara received her B.A. from William Woods College in 1984, and her J.D. from the University of Missouri Columbia in 1987.
