Associate General Counsel
Michelle G. Marshall is an Associate General Counsel in the transactional practice group. Michelle assists various departments and colleges throughout the University, focusing on commercial transactions, online learning, intellectual property, and data privacy matters.
Prior to joining Arizona State University, Michelle served as General Counsel for a public school district in Arizona for thirteen years. There, she provided guidance regarding education law and managed all legal matters, including commercial transactions and employment, conducted training on a variety of topics, and provided legal and business advice to the governing board and administration.
Immediately after graduating from law school, Michelle was in private practice where she focused on employment law, and later served as Senior Trial Attorney for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Michelle obtained her law degree from Stanford University in 1996, and her undergraduate degree from the University of Arizona in 1993.
